Project #58349 - Statistic Project

Project Overview
For this assignment you will do independent research, collect original data, analyze the data, and present your findings.

Refer to the Course Schedule within the Syllabus for specific project deliverables and due dates.

This is an extensive project and will be worth a significant part of your final grade. You are therefore strongly encouraged to start early. To help you pace this work, you will be asked to submit a topic proposal in Week 2.

In Week 6 you will need to submit your preliminary datasets - while you will have a chance to collect more data before the final deliverable in Week 8, you should aim to have as much done as possible for the Week 6 assignment. It will be your chance to get feedback from your instructor to make sure that you have collected enough to successfully complete the final project. The topic proposal in Week 2 and the datasets due in Week 6 will be graded assignments, but only the completed project due in Week 8 will be graded with the project grading rubric available for download below. However, it is a good idea to review the rubric now to understand what will be expected at the end of the project.

•Data set(s) - The data must be related to various characteristics of a sample population. Some potential populations could be:

â—¦Classmate’s height, eye color, gender, term in school
â—¦Vehicles in a parking lot, make, year, color, body style
â—¦Any other population set of your choice with your instructor’s approval
•Measurements - After the data is collected, describe the level of measurement for your data. Additionally, provide various measures of central tendency, standard deviation, and variance.
•Graphic representations of data - After the data is collected, prepare a variety of graphic representations of your collection.
•Write at least one paragraph about how the knowledge and skills learned in this class relates to your chosen career.
•Conclusion - Present conclusions based on the data and graphic representations. Additionally, you must also state in your conclusion how working with a data set(s) and drawing conclusions applies to real world situations.
Grading Criteria
The Creation and Analysis of a Data Set Grading Rubric will be used to evaluate your assignment. Refer to the rubric for important assignment details.

Project Outcomes
This assignment supports the following outcomes:

Identify the different levels of the measurements of statistics.
Appreciate how drawing conclusions from data sets applies to real world situations.
Evaluate how knowledge, skills, and attitudes learned in this
Here is the data I collected on teen pregnancy in VA in the attachement below it consisit of 5 local cities and the total number of births in whole numbers and percentages for the last seven years. Please let me know if you can do the procuest with the data I provided and how much the cost will be. Thank you so much.
Make sure you review the grading rubric Excel document to see what is expected of the final project submission in Week 8. Notice that the "Conclusions" and the "Critical Thinking" portions of the rubric are both worth a lot of points, so make sure to think about what kind of analysis and conclusions you can draw from your data set and the calculations you make. Remember to include all of the required calculations (mean, median, mode, variance and standard deviation) in your final project report, and discuss those results as part of your analysis and conclusions.
