4.  The following graph shows the test results for an exam whereby hours studied is graphed versus the grade obtained.  Which is the independent variable and which is the dependent variable?

We spoke about David Hume and his Essay Concerning Human Understanding and then further talked about how Hume's discussions of correlation and causality are related to statistics.  Please discuss, in your own words, your thoughts about causality and how causality could possibly be different than correlation.  Perhaps five to ten sentences with an example will suffice.
