Part 2. Lesson 9 Presentation Plan (50 points)

In the instruction section of this lesson, you learned that a strong solution presentation consists of the following elements:

  • An overview of the problem at hand
  • A description of the problem's background
  • The solution itself
  • Illustrations provided throughout to enhance your ideas
  • Conclude. What might change if your solution was employed? Does your solution meet the needs of the present generation while taking care of the future? Does it respond to the triple bottom line discussed in lesson 8?

You also learned that your project requires 6-10 slides, not counting the title or the citation slides. For this assignment, you will outline how you plan to approach your presentation by providing a description of each slide that includes:

  • The title of the slide
  • An explanation of what you plan to share on the slide and in your script. You may include descriptions of visuals or other elements as needed.

The more detailed your information, the more your instructor will be able to advise as you work towards completing your solutions project.

Part 3

·  Using the research completed in Lesson 8, together with the techniques developed in Lessons 9 and 10, complete a PowerPoint presentation geared towards a general, nonexpert audience. This presentation should be between 6-10 slides (not counting the title slide and the works cited slide).

·  When the presentation is complete, upload it to VoiceThread following the instructions provided in the VoiceThread Tutorial. Make sure to copy the link so your instructor can view the presentation; details are provided in the tutorial.

·  Additionally, please compose 2-3 paragraphs of reflection that answer the following questions:

  1. What did you see as the strengths and weaknesses of your presentation?
  2. Because your presentation is in a public area, it's possible that it could be viewed by someone with the power to engage the solution you've proposed. If you could put this project into the hands of one person besides your instructor, who would it be and why?

·  Paste the link to your VoiceThread and the paragraphs into the assignment submission window, linked below.
