# Project #18200 - project 1 part 3

### Part III: A More Realistic Meal Plan

Naturally, people need more than two minerals to survive.Likewise, people eat more than just broccoli and corn. Find four more essential vitamins and minerals and their recommended daily values (in milligrams). Likewise, find four more foods that contain each of the six vitamins and minerals you have listed. Determine that the amount of each nutrient found in one serving of each food.

Using that information, construct but do not solve a linear system of equations that determines how much of each item a person would need to consume to achieve the recommended daily values of each nutrient.

Instructions:

This week you will complete Part III of Project 1. For this step, you are asked to construct (but not solve) a linear system of equations that determines how much of each item a person would need to consume to achieve the recommended daily values of each nutrient. Make sure that you identify what four more essential vitamins and minerals you are using (and their recommended daily values in milligrams). Also make sure you identify the four additional food types that contain each of the six vitamins and minerals you have listed (two from Parts I and II plus the four additional vitamins and minerals identified in this Part III). A complete description of the full "Systems and Nutrition" assignment can be found in the Project 1 item under Projects.
