continuous beam. Calculate this ratio.
Find the maximum normal stresses in the two beams. And find the ratio rwhich is the ratio of the maximum normal stress in the simply supported beam and that in the three-span continuous beam.
Determine the ratio rv which is the ratio of the maximum deflection in the simply supported beam and that in the three-span continuous beam.
